About The Event
Join a ramble where you will recap basic skills and learn some new ones to plan and carry out your own walks. No pressure… a fun session! Maps and other equipment provided, just bring your curiosity. This is ideal for those who have completed the Introduction to Basic Navigation Skills course with me previously, and for those who would be interested in a formal qualification in the future.
We will start with a short theory session (you can buy tea / coffee at the tea hut).
This will be followed by a ramble around the Cobham area. We will take frequent stops for simple activities.
Learn:
· To recognise a wider range of map symbols
· To confidently plot a route with a specific purpose in mind
